My Way To Home

Narrow road serpentine all the way
begins with the smell of local distillate nearby
flanked with inns and a kiosk at the crossing
potholes, ditches welcomes you
to the hamlets adorned with lush greenery
corrugated iron camps from the recent misery
once a hill now a plain plot.
On the banks of once-upon-a-time river
ascents and descents every hundred meters
half a kilometer of strides
and a windy hillock resides atop -

vantage point to the panorama
revealing precious heirlooms preserved for centuries
the bond between animates and inanimates
entwined and entangled intricate
the vast landscapes, hallowed valley's
takes a beholder aback
fragrant earth takes me to the roots.
And I behold the breeding ground
of malfeasance and misadministration
encroaching Goddess Saraswoti's abode
I take a rest on the bench by the retailer
hydrate after basking a scorcher
and set off again for a hiking adventure.
Few meters ahead the playing ground after school
adjacent to the compounded rim with juicy orchards
next the ox byre and a noisy passer-by
leading to the mansion whence the road forked out
taking the right for a while
to reach a boulderstone we call "Hattipaila"
confluence for the brooks emanating up high from Baghdwar.
Another crossroad
bordered on the right with Krishna Temple
a stroll away then at the bus park
onlooking mesmerizing Tarevir.
