Reunion

Excitement filled the room
a cab whisked through the bumpy track
across the stream, crossed it
and semi-circled to pull over
orthogonal to the facade
and the gleaming faces
hastening left through the hallway
ensued an unbolting eye-eye,
ticks halted a millisecond
after the threshold opened for a coveted reunion.
