15 Minutes In a Bus
I 've taken my earphones off
I 'm lackadaisical now
Arms resting on my thighs, crisscrossed.
I spot a middle-aged commuter
busy with his smartphone, browsing Facebook
head swaddled with light grey scarf
donning a Nike's windbreaker.
I spot a college girl, her uniform suggests so,
sitting across the seat from the aisle
her back towards me.
Another collegiate hitches on the ride now,
comes and sits adjacent to my seat. The masked bespectacled fellow, quite strangely,
helds a vertical gaze out of the transparent window.
Now I help my eyes towards the pane too.
